It's been a while, and now....

In the recent weeks, I've been following the fodder on line regarding my favorite TV family, Jon and Kate Gosselin, hoping that the rumors abound were mularkie...however, tonight, the episode just proved that sometimes what you read on the internet is actually true. Websites like People.com, Usweekly online, Just Jared, and so on, regularly pay people BIG money to follow this family and take photos of them, including Radaronline.com and TMZ.com. These tabloids have the family followed and pay BIG MONEY for photos of the family, and in light of tonight's revelation of the filing for a disolution of the Gosselin Marriage, photos and copies of the actual court filings will become HOT commodities.
However, there are REAL people's lives at stake here, including a mother who wants to try to do the best for her family (don't ALL moms strive for that), a father who isn't sure of what in his life will make him happy, and eight innocent faces and hearts who have to NOW deal with the fall out of what happened between mommy and daddy.
While I don't know either of the adult Gosselins, or will she become a Kreider again? I do know that there is alot of hurt, anger and unknowns ahead for this family. And while they have to do what they feel is best for their family, I hope that they all find peace in the knowledge that God will guide them down the paths that HE has chosen for them. I hope that Kate knows that there are fans who support her and would like to wish her the best in this pursuit, and that Jon knows that the grass might not be greener on the other side of divorce. I just hope that they can find their OWN peace.

Gallstones, NOT for the weak of heart

Last week, I found myself in the emergency room of my local hospital with the MOST horrendous pain in my stomach I've ever had (and I am the mother of three), after four hours of sitting in the waiting room, a blood draw and an abdominal ultrasound, I have a gallbladder full of stones. Luckily for me, I qualify for surgery and will have my Gallbladder removed on May 4th.
When I say gallstones are NOT for the weak of heart, HOLY MOSES, I just wanted to die. I believe that my son coming to check on me and my pushing him away only scared him more, but I realized that he was only worried about mommy, who was hugging the white porcelian god in the upstairs bathroom. However, I NEVER want to experience that pain again, and my surgeon, who reminds me of Fez from That's 70s Show, will be my saving grace and poke three holes in my belly and suck my gallbladder out of my belly button.

For Jamie, Ariana and Tyler - A Tragic Story

I know that there are countless times we all have heard of a case of an abused child....but this week, the father of two children was sentenced to death, for the murder of his own children.
My meeting with Jamie, Ariana and Tyler came by accident. Someone posted the YouTube tribute by Jamie in one of the Cafemom groups, and I watched the video and SOBBED my eyes out. My heart broke for this mother, she lost her two children at the hands of their father. He locked them in a closet, starved them to death and then disposed of their bodies by renting a storage locker in Tucson, Arizona. The manager of the storage facility "vacated" the belongings of this storage locker, a lone 25 gallon storage tub with an awful stench, after the locker rent stopped coming in.
To the HORROR of the employee of the storage facility, the stench was emitting from the storage tub, with the remains of 3 year old Ariana and 4 year old Tyler. However, the employee didn't realize what was in the storage tub until the lid came off after it was up-ended into a dumpster. They believe that the remains of Tyler fell into the dumpster, but Ariana's remains were still in the tub. Authorities believe that Tyler's remains were taken to a local landfill, unlocated for verification or proper burial.
Fast forward 2 years. Chris, the children's father, was arrested and charged in their deaths, went through a trial, and was found guilty of killing his children. The jury recommends DEATH for him. His ex-live-in-girlfriend also pleaded guilty for "her part" in the travisty, and will spend 22 years in prison.

Jamie, my heart goes out to you, for you never got to see your children blow out their birthday candles, you never got to say goodbye. But rest assured, you will see them again, with wings and halos, for they are in Heaven with Jesus.
